Since my daughters have participated in Bonnie’s School of Speech and Drama, they have improved their verbal communication skills. They have now been able to articulate what they want to express and do it in a clear and expressive manner. Their on-stage performance skills have improved beyond what natural growth and maturity would have brought on, and their personal confidence in school and in their daily lives have grown significantly. They performed well at exams held yearly adjudicated by representatives from Britain. Overall, this drama course has benefited both of my daughters very much. Thank you.

My daughter Madeline has enjoyed speech & drama lessons with Bonnie Laurie for the past 2 years.  I have watched her come a very long way and develop into quite a poised and confident speaker.  Numerous school teachers have commented on her successful presentations, emphasizing hier strong voice, good eye contact and  appropriate posture. She has always enjoyed working with Bonnie personally. She creates a very friendly, & uninhibited atmosphere that my daughter enjoys on a weekly basis.

Before we enrolled our daughter Fiona in Bonnie’s School of Speech and Drama, she was very shy in the public, easily intimidated by others, and frequently un-assured of herself. However, for the last few years after Fiona has been taking classes with Bonnie, she has built up a tremendous level of self-confidence and self-esteem to enable her to assume the leadership role whenever a class group project is available. She fulfills the team lead role with ease and aplomb. Recently, she has been chosen to represent her school in a public speaking contest. She was fluent, composed, articulate, and meticulous in the way she delivered her speech and conveyed her message across to a large audience. We are very proud of her. We can see that Fiona has benefited immensely from Bonnie’s training and coaching since we made the decision to enroll her with Bonnie.

Over the last few years my daughter has been enrolled in many after school programs. Bonnie's School of Speech and Drama has clearly been one of the very best. Attending these classes has been an empowering experience for my twelve year old daughter. She has gained much confidence in her ability to do public speaking and perform drama. Most importantly, she has had a fun time learning invaluable skills.

My son was very shy; to stand up in front of his class to do a show and tell would cause him great anxiety. When he was in grade 3, I saw an ad on the bulletin board in his school for Bonnie’s Speech & Drama classes. I enrolled him hoping this would help him overcome his shyness. It worked and the transformation was amazing. Now my son has become a confident and eloquent speaker who can deliver a speech very effectively. He has completed his tenth and final year and has completed his grade 8 double major in Speech & Drama and Communication Skills with Bonnie and his Associate degree in Communication Skills. Both programs have given him valuable skills that will serve him well as he grows into adulthood.

Every week I look forward to going to Bonnie's Speech and Drama class because it is a chance to express myself and have fun pretending to be another character. It has really helped me in communicating my ideas both verbally and visually, using facial expressions and actions as well as words. I have also become more confident when speaking and presenting in front of people, a skill I constantly use.  I also learned the theory behind acting and speaking, such as breathing techniques, which was very interesting. I believe Bonnie's Speech and Drama classes has taught me many things that I constantly use and will probably continue to use in the future.

Personally I think that Bonnie has helped me a lot. I am now very confident to go first for any oral presentation. Not only is it helpful to learn the memorization skills it is also very fun. Bonnie has a very humorous personality. When I walk into the class I feel very happy because it is such a welcoming environment. In Bonnie's drama classes I am not afraid to express myself. This is not scripted, it comes from the bottom of my heart. I have recently won a speech contest. Thank you very much Bonnie!

In addition to being one of the nicest people that I know, she is an extraordinary motivator and most caring of young people. When my daughter first started with Bonnie 3 years ago (in grade 5 at school), she refused to read unless absolutely forced to for a school assignment. Since working with Bonnie, she has discovered the joy of reading and rarely has her nose out of a book these days. As well, she became a more confident, poised, and articulate at public speaking, and was absolutely amazing at her Bat Mitzvah presentation last month when she spoke in front of 250 people. I would not hesitate to recommend Bonnie for all manner of training in speech, confidence building, articulation, and public speaking. It’s been a delightful experience working with her.
